View Full Version : Adding remote to Espar heater

Have been combing thru the archives for info on how to add a remote to the onboard Espar hydronic heater to my 2004 2500.

Currently, I only have the center console dash switch to turn it on and off. I see that Espar has a number of timer modules available, as well as the remote fob.

Because my Sprinter is a camper conversion, I don't think the timer module would do me much good, as it doesn't get used at the same time every day. I would rather be able to start the heater from inside the house.

My question is, what do I need to add this feature? Do I need to add a timer module first before I can add the remote?

Thanks in advance.

Hi. The Espar site has lots of info.

Go to:

Click on the Remote Control link.

Looks like you need a mini timer or 7-day timer in addition to the remote unit.
