Brake Pad Warning Indicator

After the indicator comes on, is there an approximate number of miles before the pads and rotors need to be changed due to metal on metal? Reason is my light came on this week and I have new rotors, pads, and sensors that came in from Europarts. I would like to be able to hold off changing them for a month or 6 weeks until it gets cooler out. It is 86* with a 10 * added heat index right now...too hot for this old guy. Durring the day it is unbelievably hot. I may put on 300 miles a week if that helps your answer.

thanks

You don't mention miles during that time period. Assuming typical use/miles I would just wait as you plan to do. Even the pad metal back plates against the rotor provide some friction. :hmmm:

You might crawl under and take a peek to be certain you have the time to wait.
