Hello,
I am taking my 2012 in for a B Service in a week. It has 100 K on it (60K miles).
Along with the service I am going to ask them to give the exhaust system components a check for damaged hangers and fittings. Dennis mentioned having a "health" check done on the engine. What does this comprise of besides a scan for codes.
Is there anything else I should be asking them to check?

After receiving a firm price quote listing specifics they are going to perform, I would ask if the price includes the fuel filter because one member claimed he was charged extra and I would argue the fuel filter, all filters, should be included in the cost of a B service. Also, I would request, again after receiving a quote, a print out of the ECU, and DPF History logs (see attached and link). The ECU log and quick test should include a list, if any, of fault codes. Retrieving the logs should take but a few minutes.
