Hello everyone
I'm looking for this module made by Cherry. I live in Boston and I have tried every dealer . They are all trying to sell the Whole unit which is around 750. I have spent over 6500 dollars to fix a lip mode issue. The truck when you stop at lights will not engage. Dealer first said its the transmission and replaced transmission. Then he replaced Controller . This is when I started to read on this Forum and now I'm trying to replace this unit and TCM module which is under drivers seat without going to a Mechanic.

The original Manufacture Cherry has gone under and this company does all the contracts. But they will NOT sell it to us. Wondering if anyone has a Third partly supplier so I can get the truck back on road.

Thank

Does the old switch have an MB part number molded or sticky-labeled on to it?

If it's an oddly-shaped switch, then it was probably custom-created by Cherry for MB, and they don't (didn't) carry it as a "commonly available" part.

If it's not oddly-shaped, then prowling through the switch sections of electronic distributors' catalogs may find it (Cherry's product line was probably taken over by one of the remaining switch manufacturers).
Distributors to try would be allied, newark, arrow, digikey

good luck...

Thanks for your response . Your correct in saying that this is a cherry manufactured for MB part number but the dealer will not sell this unit alone. They will sell the gear swifter and this part together for 1200. But I found a very good wrecker for sprinter parts in WV. They are called http://pickupcity.com/. They have a lot of these sprinters in their YARD.

I got this part for 125 dollars. and 25 for shipping . They have everything for those who are looking for Parts.

Thanks I really appreciate your response.

I'm familiar with Cherry snap-action switches.. in many cases these are embedded inside some kind of mechanical mechanism (such as this foot switch) where they provide the electrical switching:

Perhaps if you disassemble the module in question you could identify the switch type/size and order a replacement. That is, assuming it is the switch that has failed and not the mechanical part(s).
