Sorry in advance if already covered at length

Looking for recommendations on a good charge controller for my future dual battery setup.

Sprinter docs suggest limiting to 40amps current draw when running aux battery.

I have a choachhosue with the 100amp auxx battery and want to upgrade to a dual 6v 220amp setup.

1. Any recommendations on good 35-40amp chargeer for aux batteries.
2. Has anyone pushed the envelope and just used stock alternator without limiting limiting to 40amps?

Thanks

Patrick

1. Chargers from Iota and Progressive Dynamics are popular. I use an Iota DLS-55.

2. Most RV applications simply use a solenoid relay that bridges the vehicular and house battery systems when the engine is running, and this works just fine with the typical dual 6-volt 220 Ah setup.

But yes, this have been covered at length, many times over. You can make it as complicated as you want. :smilewink:
