From another thread.

...

And yes you are correct, a 2001 UK Spec Sprinter does not have an OBDII port
It does have a round shaped 14 pin connector to serve the same OBDII connections.

... or a Power Distribution Block.

Keith.

The NAS aka NAFTA Power Distribution Center PDC

81343

I'm curious.

When not having the PDC do the Euro models have any fuses for things like the alternator, glow plug relay, etc., or does everything feed directly from the battery with heavier cables?

The cables go direct to the live cable on the battery rather than via the PDC. I am guessing it is an extra requirement under NAS for safety?

Mine has the round ODB socket. I just got an adapter for it to adapt it to the usual shape.

It's true... here's the schematic of a UK T1N Sprinter ...i've added the red labels:

81354

Note how the battery's positive end just connects directly to the terminals numbered 1-4
If the glow plug module (or alternator) decides to do something odd, there's no fuse to try to help. (which reminds me of a fuse-less Austin Healey 3000 i once had to totally rewire)

Compare to the fused circuits passing through the US's PDC block:

I would fit a PDC to mine as it is an way bolt/unbolt job but I haven't seen the part and fuses for a responsible cost anywhere
