Hmmmm....great photo of the supplied MB service jack.
Wonder why it was not applied to the specified in the manual "designated rear lift point" that the
shaped radius saddle at the top is made to fit nearly perfectly.
Guess MB rolled the forward rear spring hanger bracket to all those very specific shapes
for some other reason than to make it the "designated jacking point".
You jack your Sprinter up any way you like.
That axle tube is fairly light material and easily deformed, so I think I will stick to the
"designated jacking points" specified in the manual.
Besides, if you use the "designated jacking points you don't really need to crawl under the
Sprinter at all.
Jacking up a corner of the Sprinter enough to change a flat tire can be accomplished without
getting under the vehicle. You can position the jack just by reaching under a little ways.
