Where do you access the heater core lines for a flush?

I took a look at it today and was going to install one of those cheap kits so I could hook up my garden hose and flush the heater core and coolant system. It's a bit more complicated than my Dodge Ram.

I believe I have one pic of the line coming from the intake manifold going to a pump. Then to the heater valve.

The next pic I believe is the heater valve. Some of the plumbing is hidden behind the blower motor assembly so I'm kind of confused on what the inlet and outlet valve are. I'm assuming the one at the top is the inlet. The outlet to the water pump is obvious though.

My question is where would you hook up your hose port to flush the heater core? Right after the pump is where I was thinking

The hose leading upward from the coolant pump in your first photo goes directly to the heater core. You should have no problem connecting a hose there to flush the heater core.
