P2527 Left EGS Positioner

Hello,

has been a while for me....

I have a code as stated. When searching it seems I cannot find the exact code anywhere.

WHO CAN HELP AND TELL ME WHAT THIS MEANS?

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know where you got the error message from, but I have seen this error with EGR failures. You might try cleaning the EGR.

Other errors imply low vacuum levels. The 2002/2003 models have a vacuum line to a small canister under the air filter (take the headlight out to get to it). Its possible that one of the vacuum hoses has started leaking. Easy fix, but a pain to get to.

Thanks everyone for you response!

I was not very specific in my original post -sorry. That code is read out with the DAD, on my 2004 Sprinter.

I thought too it could be from the Transmission, but the transmission readout sates "OK" I just have never seen this particular code with that description. So any further clarification from our specialists here on this forum is greatly appreciated!!!

Thank you!

Likely the EGR. Here is what my Sprinter Error code book says (I ordered it with my DAD unit).

I didn't see any other 2527 errors in the book. Sorry, this book is out of print if you don't have one,

Thank you so much for your reply!
I do have the book as well, but could not locate it :shifty:

It is just a strange description on my read out. I am considering buying the GDE tune to get rid of the EGR problems.

Thanks again.
