Hey everyone, the check engine warning on my 2010 sprinter van went on last week so i went to my diesel local repair shop (they can read sprinter van code) and here's what he had on his computer:

9100 engine can bus

106200H/1073664
135400H/1266688
170000H/1507328
170100H/1507584

Unfortunately it was all undocumented code so he couldn't help me. I'm really far from a mercedes dealer so that's why i'm trying to get help here.. if anyone has seen those code before? thanks

I have seen them before in fact many times.
They all pertain to the SCR adaption (below limit ) and NOx sensors and adaption codes.
Obviously the shop you have been using has scan tools that are not MB specific and although the correct codes pop up they are MB specific and do not have descriptions documented in the software!

Since your engine is obviously a CD16 unit with DEF fluid injection I suspect the NOx sensors have deteriorated and been life reduced to replacement point by the need for a change in the way the fluid is injected into the system since condensation formed tends to crack the NOx sensor ceramic body.
So two new NOx sensors are required at about $450 each on this side of the border!
You most likely will need three new updated thermo couples in the SCR Cat etc which talk to the NOx sensors since they have been up-rated too!
These are about $200 a pop.
Then its a trip to the dealer (unless you can find a heavily committed Sprinter Independent since the whole thing has to be re-adapted and re-flashed.

Expect a bill of about $3500 up unless of course you can convince the dealership its part of an emission warranty.
Best of luck

Thanks a lot! Does it need to be fix right away? For about 3500$ i would prefer to wait a couple months then visit a dealer...

Well it depends.
In severe cases you will most likely start to get the count down to limited starts !

I looked at one a few weeks ago!
Owner in a desperate hurry had to go to Chicago from Denver. I cleared it out and reset the SCR-- tongue in cheek!
Rig ran fine there and about 600 mile around Illinois but on the way back our CEL bad boy came back with a DEF fluid warning and the count down! (like about of herpes I suppose!). A three Amigos of sorts.

All the best
Dennis
