View Full Version : Advice on mounting Fiamma f-35 awning

Hi all,

My Fiamma F-35 Pro (9'10") just arrived today, woohoo! But, I pulled a total noob move and just assumed that for $700 Fiamma would include the exact mounting kit I needed. Uh, no.

So I went to their website hoping to see a suggestion for a kit for my 2007 roof (no gutter, no racks or tracks of any kind on mine). I did see a number of somewhat pricey options at HERE (http://www.fiammausa.com/products/awnings.asp?Fam=A2&BG=F35) but wasn't sure which one I needed.

Anybody here ever mount an F-35 right to the roof and can advise on which kit and tips on installing?

I get to answer my own quesion... unfortunately the F-35 will not work with my tall 144. Back it goes.

I have a tall 144 (passenger) - my plan is to add the factory roof tracks (need to drop the ceiling panels to do this) and then attach the awning to the tracks.

This guy said he bought he F-65S. http://www.traipsingabout.com/2013/11/27/adventure-mobile/

Don't know if that's helpful - at this point.

The 2007+ vans need a top mounted awning, like the F65S. The F35/45 will not work without custom brackets, not worth trying IMO.

Fiamma makes 2 types of mounting brackets for the F65S, with and without roof rails. For those that don't have the rails, and see no future need for the rails, you can forego installing them and just get the correct brackets for the F65S.
