The temperature gauge has started to always read 130c what sensor needs replacing? I hope it's that simple......

There is a water temp sensor right at the radiator filler cap. I would suspect it, or a bad connection at the point the wires connect to the sensor.

First consider a new thermostat as it comes with an ETS included.
