Here are some of the numerous 2006 (Europe only) and later Sprinter van and chassis cab dimensions. Note that the 318 diesel referenced as the OM642 engine is a V-6, not the same as the I-5 that the 2003-2006's have. Nor will the diesel V-6 be in the US market in 2007.

LLarry: you are correct - the diesel is "delayed." There are reports on YahooSprinterVan that orders are now being accepted for the 2007 Sprinters with the diesel.
