ODB2 plug in and fix error codes?

Has anyone tried one of these. IF this works it would be perfect. Don't have to tune your ECU and just drive until the next limp code or count down, then pull this out of the glove box pop this in ODB2 and drive until the dealer is simi handy. Pop it back into the glove box and get the dealer to tell you that you have a Mercedes sensor problem and they fixed it until next time.

It seems implausible, for later Sprinters at least. Don't the modules communicate via the CAN Bus rather than the OBDII? I can't imagine how it could accomplish this via the OBDII, but then again I'm not a hacker:shifty:

CANbus and OBDII are not separate/opposing systems, they are two different layers of the same network (CANbus being the physical and OBDII being an application layer and also set of standards) and operate together. Below is a good description of how they interact:

Smiller you have the GDE tune and are happy? What year Sprinter do you have. GDE told me they would not have 2013 until next year sometime.
