We are doing a sideways bed, 70 x 60" with a bunk over the feet of the bed.

Hope you are less than 5'-10" tall, are above 30" with bed height and do not fill the window indentations with insulation.
I am 5'-10" and sleep on my stomach (73 1/2" head to toe tip) and filled the window indents with insulation on my sold 08 Sprinter with an across the back bed with 70" bed length. Had to sleep slightly diagonal which was a problem. Did not like sleeping diagonal.

Having a second chance with the new Transit I will have a 74" bed length at 30" elevation. Transit also has window indents where I will limit the insulation/wall covering to about 3/4" in order to get the 74" length.

Yeah We may rethink the direction and cut into our extra space.
