View Full Version : accelerator low voltage

I have a 2004 that I just replaced the motor in. Starts and runs fine, except it will only idle. A code came back indicating accelerator sensor low voltage. The body grounds seem good. Not sure what to look for next.

The only other part that was removed was the shifter mechanism (loaned to a fellow sprinter owner).

Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Hi there

That probably indicates an issue with the fly-by-wire throttle position sensor, part of the accelerator pedal assembly. There is a plug there, check the wiring as it goes underneath the dash. Lots of sharp edges under there.
Chances are it may need a new/replacement accelerator pedal assembly as the position sensor is integrated into it.

That's my first call anyway.

All the best Steve

Steve,

Thanks for being the inaugural (only) response to my post. Cleared some codes, running fine. Except for the front transmission seal. Tomorrow's another day.

May all your Sprinter experiences be without incident.
