This is beyond ridiculous.
Long story short...
2008 Sprinter
Dead battery last year ( rarely driven )
New battery installed
two weeks later, van wouldn't start.
Battery at 12 volts or so
Installed trickle charger
Battery always at 14 volts
Van won't start, get the click... eventually starts
Installed new Y cable last week
Old one looked fine
All connections are tight
14 volts at battery and UltraGauge
I get the dreaded "click" this morning.
After 4 attempts of inserting key, it finally accepts and van starts.
What should I do next?
I have a remote starts of the van and it has always worked even when the key doesn't.
Do I need to replace the key tumbler?
