Problem,can't open hood 2014 2500

2104- 2500
Was going to add DEF fluid this morning .pulled hood latch release and it did not release hood.
Went to hood and worked with release bar to no avail....Any suggestions before taking it in.

Just a suggestion, a 2 person job, have someone push down on the hood while the other person tries to release the lock from the drivers seat area.

Thanks it WORKED!
I had been working on it by myself for a half hour.
It has been extremely cold here lately,snow etc,I am thinking that could of been part of the issue.Once opened I noticed some minor corrosion,grit etc where the release was located.
I applied white lithium grease to the parts involved in latch release,,plunger etc.
Retested a couple times working fine.
Thanks again,,,Sometimes these Sprinters can be "finicky".

trek130, glad things worked out. It would be a bummer to have to service the engine from below -
