The new 2014 Sprinter 519 (3500) 4x2 4325 170.2751" wb High Top Short Back
with the OM-651 2.143 liter I4 2 stage turbocharged engine and 7G-Tronic 7 speed transmission is getting about 1 mpg BETTER mileage towing my cargo trailer than I was getting on the same trip last year with the 2012 519 4x2 4325 170.2751" wb High Top Short Back Sprinter with the OM-642 3.0 liter V6.
I'm still trying to get things optimized with the Scan Gauge II on the OM-651.
The V6 was getting 12-13 mpg towing.
The I4 is getting over 14 mpg with the same trailer.
I'll post the numbers in the next few days!
Pretty sure I saw one of our Winnebago View members last evening on I-465 N going around
the top of Indianapolis, IN.
Sprinter/ Winne View/small black cargo trailer/ Sprinter has a Euro style license tag on the
front.
I passed him on the RH side as I was going about 5 mph faster and Indiana has all the signs that say no vehicles with trailers in the fast lanes.

Hi Roger, I know this thread is super old, but I was hoping to get your updated thoughts between the v6 and I4. I'm tossing between the two because we'll be towing about 1500lbs behind us, and I was hoping to get the suggestion from someone who's had both.

Thanks for your time!
