Below in the quote box is a copy of an email I received yesterday afternoon.

The document mentioned in the text is attached to this posting as well.

As of 10-Jun-2014, the configuration instructions found here

https://sprinter-source.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5721

will only work if you accept the $365/device 6-month grace period offer explained in the PDF.

If you're a business, just buy wiTECH. It's a better diagnostic program interface and contains a DRB-III emulator.

Dear TechAuthority Customer,

The StarSCAN tool and StarMOBILE Desktop Application were superseded by the wiTECH system beginning in 2009 calendar year.

Starting 06/10/2014, StarMOBILE Desktop Client Application and the StarSCAN Tool will no longer be supported for flash downloads in TechAuthority.

If you are using either of these tools, DO NOT purchase a subscription for flash process as these tools will no longer be supported.

Please be aware that TechAuthority will NOT process refunds due to this issue.

Transitioning from the current StarMOBILE Desktop client to the wiTECH Diagnostic Application is the only supported process for using the existing StarMOBILE Device.

The attached document describes the process required for interim support.
