sprinterich,
Go on Ebay UK .....there are 13 different listings for Part Number 140 589 15 21 00.....prices from 18 GBP to 36 GBP.
The transmission dipsticks are all the same across several different MB platforms that use this transmission.
Hope this helps,
Roger

You can see the part number on the ebay link

57438

MB: A6020101672
Dodge: 05103962AA
Description: INDICATOR ENGINE OIL LEVEL

So it's not a transmission fluid dipstick, it's an engine oil dipstick.

Do you mind purchasing from someone in Bulgaria?

As far as I know it's the same part number around the world.

is that 100% the right one for a sprinter? surely the sprinter needs a longer one that cars because the engine seems much taller in a sprinter than in a car so surely the dipstick tube will be much longer? and surely there are some in the uk!? if the dipstick is the same as on ml and e class etc surely all i'd need to buy is one for those, there are loads of those in the uk but none with the part number above, I'm totally confused!!!

The dipstick tool (notice I wrote, "tool") services all 722.xxx transmissions regardless of the vehicle upon which it is being used.

There is no sprinter-specific dipstick tool. There is no ML or E-class specific dipstick tool.

Why does it work in all NAG1 transmissions? The most important part of the tool is is the tip, which is designed to measure the fluid in the NAG1 pan; designed to stop at the shoulder of the tip, designed to never hit the bottom of the transmission fluid pan.

No matter which vehicle the tool is being employed, the handle never stops at the end of the dipstick tube, it's always too long to completely disappear in the tube. There is always some length of tool between the handle and the dipstick tube.

Less confused now?
