I get a code for #5 glow plug when it rains or is damp.

Is this a common problem? Sounds like a loos wire.
Where should I look?

I heard that this may not be cylinder #5 how do I tell short of pulling them off 1 by one and throw a code to see.

It's the last one in back of the motor. Little tricky getting to but doable.

It is only not cylinder 5 if someone put the leads back on in the wrong order sometime. My sprinter has different length leads so it would be tricky, although not impossible to do that.

Ok is there a common plug or wire that throws the code when it is wet?
Thanks

Don't forget the codes often show the wrong number when it comes to the correct GP. It's best to check them all as detailed elsewhere here before just assuming that it's really number 5. In my case Doktor A determined that different plugs were actually bad rather than the ones the code indicated.

I've seen a lot of control modules with a cracked seal. Check it first.
