View Full Version : Aux. Battery Install Links

I found the links on this page no longer active.

I would like the links for retrofit instructions and part lists if anyone has them? Ideally, I would like write-ups with step by step instructions, with pictures. I have a 04', 140WB Sprinter that I would like to install a simple auxiliary battery system into, to run/charge computers, phones and lights for videography. I seem to be able to find the PDF instructions for NCV3 models, but not for T1Ns.

I apologize, I know this topic has been covered a lot,....I am probably overlooking some posts/links. I am also quite inexperienced with electrical systems and auto mechanics.

Ultimately, I want an inverter system I'm working out max load and system demands to choose the right inverter and batter. Somewhere around 1000W.

Okay, I have a couple of questions so far. I flipped up the door to the fuse compartment under my seat and I saw, behind the fuses, a lot of wiring. Is there a dedicated wire for an aux. battery system already in there, that leads to the main van battery, under the hood? Or do run that cable yourself?

I was told to buy this 'charge isolater' to put between the main and aux. batteries.

Is there wiring that leads from beneath the driver over to the passenger side compartment?

Thanks, I really appreciate your help.
