Hi folks,

I'm cleaning out extraneous stuff from my sprinter, and before I throw these two things away, I figure I should find out what they are! Any ideas?

The first pic is some kind of bracket on the driver side seat pillar.

Next we have a random part that feels too nicely made to throw away:

The bracket is for the OEM fire extinguisher. I use mine to strap my trailer drawbar to.

I don't recognize the other part.

Not that you asked...

If there is a black bracket behind the driver seat, that is for the safety triangles.

The first bit is also a wheel chock holder (incomplete).

... (incomplete).
I figured mine had some parts missing. It'd be great if you happen to have a picture of one of the brackets complete with all parts that you could post. I'm just curious, so don't go to too much trouble. vic

Thanks folks!

Now I know where to put the fire extinguisher & wheel block... that I do not yet have!

Yeah, I have that black tray behind the seat. That's where I'm keeping partially used bottles of oil, atf, diesel treatment, etc.

 Kris

(I suppose I will give mystery part #2 a week to reveal its true meaning unto me, and if it won't speak up then I'm kicking it to the curb)

The tray behind the driver's seat is for one of these:
Standard ICC (Interstate Commerce Commission) safety equipment
to satisfy the ICC/USDOT requirements if you ever haul anything in
your Sprinter to make a profit!
The fire extinguisher and mount is also part of the ICC Requirements package.
