Mileage new tires installed 72300KM....

Ok it was time for new tires...this time around I went with the Michelin LTX A/T 2. I decided to go back to the stock tire size I was running the nokian 235/85 thread hear http://sprinter-source.com/forum/showthread.php?t=8229 I installed some black rims I had too.

I found the 235/85 profile the van felt like there was more sway on the highway cross winds big rigs etc. The extra cushion was nice though, there is more siping with the nokian thread depth about the same.

I ordered some tire pressure sensors online turns out I was sent sensors for the alloy rims not for steel so I decided to just install the old fashion rubber valve stem and put up with the random tpms beep and dash indicator. Maybe the dealer can deactivate it not sure.

I will add some photos later on.

Tire pressure sensors are the same for either. I just put alloy wheels on and used new stems from O'reillys. Like $27. Glad I got em as a couple were seized and drilled them off while having tires mounted. Went with the ms/2's and like em so far.

flman, aren't these tires, Michelin LTX A/T 2, available as special order @ SAMS CLUB or CostCo or BJ's at about the same price or maybe even cheaper?

I got my last set of Michelin LTX Sprinter tires @ SAMS Club and am thankful I did. Their free rotation every 10K miles with free rebalance is a deal on these long life tires. I got them at around 80K miles and now have a bit over 120K so I have been back for the free rotation and balance about 4 times. They have also fixed a nail in 2 of the tires no charge as well. I estimate that I'll be back for about 4 more free rotations and balancing before it's time for a new set of tires.

I think the little extra you pay at the beginning is well worth the extra service you get down the road.

I have never had to wait at Sams Club and enjoy watching the work being done with a free coffee and danish.

Good luck.

Well in NYS, you get nailed for another $250 to $300 in fees and taxes. I will mount them myself thank you. They are a little cheaper at sams, but I have to buy a membership, pick them up and pay tax. The flebay tires were delivered.
