2002 Needed Injector Pump

Hi All,

I have a 2002 Sprinter that I just replaced the injector pump (new from Europarts) on back in late August last year (2012). Now its 7.5 months later and the local dealer (after replacing the pre-pump) declares that the injector pump is defective. They said that its only putting out 200psi to the injectors.

They checked everything for leaks with no good news. They tell me that everything points to the injector pump.

Does anyone have a used one that they are interested in lending me as a diagnosis tool? Otherwise, I'd be willing to buy a used one as long as they are sure that it works. The dealer (McKay Dodge in MN) tells me that the new ones are all backordered in their system.

Per Doktor A, the high pressure pumps are generally quite reliable. 2 pumps in less than a year seems odd to me.

What are your symptoms? Hard start? No start at all? Start no run?

You should not only call Doktor A for one of his rebuilt pumps, but also for some advice.
