I don't know, 'Wallah' is a term used in south africa for crow bar, or other bodge tool, so it could be quite appropriate!

(Had to Wiki... memory fades...) Wallah also refers to a 'person'.... such as the Queen's Corgi handler.... a Corgi-wallah. We could have a Sprinter-wallah..... guy who fixes, repairs, knows, loves, hates.... Sprinters.

sorry for the spelling police.

...and well you should be sorry, since "voila" (no accents) is "veiled" (verb, past tense). :professor:

Voilą (with an accent grave over the "a") is the correct spelling.
(cf: http://french.about.com/od/vocabulary/a/voila.htm , where it calls the accent obligatory)
Since the forum software (or your PC's font set) may strip or mangle that accent,
here it is as an image: 51631

I've often seen "wallah" (usually from Oz) as an intentional "i know it's wrong, but it shows i'm not posh" chosen mis-usage.

Me? i tend to say "viola (or is that cello?)"

"Wallah" (or walla or wala, since it's a transliteration of the Hindustani वाला و) has its own life.
I could see the South African usage being a bastardization of "man" or "expert" satirically being transferred to a (as TeaMan (Tea Walla?) said) "bodge tool". I like that....

p.s. US English doesn't tend to use "bodge" ... we use "dodge"
