Napa has two starters listed for my 04 Sprinter 2500. One is a gear reduction starter and another one. How do I know which one without removing it or does it matter? The gear reduction starter is cheaper for some reason. I would like to let NAPA know tonight so I can have it for the AM.

Thanks!

It was revealed recently in a thread that either Bosch or Valeo alternators can be OEM on Sprinters. Same may be true (probably is...) for starters. :idunno:

The NAPA descriptions may not be complete so inaccurate by omission when trying to compare. There likely is not a bad choice.

That said, given the choices offered I would likely choose the remanufactured Bosch starter. FWIW. vic
