The front scuff plates on my 06 158WB T1N are cracked at the edges nearest the door. I could replace the whole plastic part at $100 each, but I think the edges will crack again because they are cantilevered out toward the door with nothing underneath the outermost inch. Instead, I would like to get a piece of material cut to the shape of the step and glue or screw it in - maybe steel with checkered anti-slip tread or hard plastic flooring material. Has anyone done this or have thoughts on this subject? Thanks in advance.

The 06 118" SHC that I just bought had the same problem. I removed the Scuff Plates and saw that someone had lifted the van by the step floor boards on both sides. I hammer and dollied them back flat. I then ordered two scuff plates from Cherokee Dodge. Part numbers:

05104265AA PLATE. Left. Scuff. $35.60

05122821AA PLATE. Right. Scuff. $35.60

Before I did anything, I would make sure they are flat.
Good Luck!
