2008 Dodge Sprinter 3.0 turbo. Need help. Had low turbo pressure. Replaced turbo. Had glow plug codes. Replaced glow plugs and modulator. Replaced EGR valve. Had #6 injector coding. Replaced injector. Still smoking and skipping. Smoke is light grey in color and reeks of diesel fuel. Spent a lot of money and still not fixed. Getting very depressed and going broke. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

At the risk of sounding like a smart ass, there will be a few questions coming. Who replaced all of the parts? How was it concluded that those needed to be replaced? From reading this, it sounds like someone is pulling codes and throwing parts at it. The turbos in these are pretty robust and rarely fail from what I understand. All of the symptoms point to a mechanical issue that should be check Ed out before tossing parts at it.

Your location is not in your profile so it will be hard to point you towards a GOOD Sprinter specialist. These are quite complicated and expensive vehicles and not every shop is capable of performing effective repairs. I would suggest taking it to a reputable Dodge or MB dealer, or Doktor A if he is near enough. There is a thread on dealers that can help guide you to a good repair facility.

By "skipping" I assume you mean a miss. Add the light grey smoke and it sounds like a dead cylinder, maybe even sucking in some coolant. Have you checked the coolant level? Added any coolant?

Smoking only lightly now. Vibration at low speeds. Has great power and no skip when flooring accelerator. Tranny changes perfectly. When I slow down it starts skipping and vibrating heavily again. Alabama/USA

If the coolant isn't on the ground under it at that consumption rate you have a coolant leak into a cylinder. The coolant is the cause of the light grey smoke. Likely causing causing the misfire and raw fuel smell as well. Stop driving it and have it checked out. It could be a blown head gasket, cracked head or block. Keep your fingers crossed that it's the gasket.

There is a dealer near Huntsville and one in Birmingham. They are listed in the regional locations thread with contact info. No reviews that I found on them though.
