Hi

I've got to replace my load sensing valve ( Break load compensator, LAV etc).
Can anyone give me a few pointers/guide?
Got the haynes but it just says take it to merc.

Cheers

I would help if you identified your T1N's year.

Are you talking about the ALB? http://sprinter-source.com/forum/showthread.php?t=4865&highlight=shock

It's a '97 sprinter.
I suppose the ALB yes, haynes calls it the break load compensator.
Load sensing valve, ALB, the spring arm thing that increases breaking.

Dunno, Haynes seem to be adamant that you need load graphs and stuff to set it up and make their usual recommendation to go to a dealer.
Not really been under the back of mine yet. Sorry

Yep:(
My dad was a mechanic by trade and he says it's doable.
I've still got the old one on the van at the minute so my thoughts is to just match the new one to the old one, spring length etc.
My dad also has a Sprinter that I'm going to use for reference

Guess what I noticed behind the flip down panel on the drivers door?

Looks to me like the tabulated data you need for setting up the LAV. No idea how to use it, but your dad might!
