Hey everybody.
I'm looking for help here. I need to replace a "clear fuel line" on my '02 2500.
The plastic retaining clip has broken on one of these lines and it is causing some air / fuel leak issues. I tried to make a bandage 200 miles north in Port Townsend, Washington with some Nylon Zip-ties to hold the fuel fitting in place. It is working so-so. Still leaking some fuel. And the engine is still acting up, giving me hick-ups when accelerating from stops. Seems if I floor it, those hick-ups go away. I am assuming fuel pressure / air is causing the issues.
I was unable to find a part number for this line
I'll attach photos so you can clearly see what I am talking about.
The fuel fitting with the broken clip is on the up side of a 'T' in a line that goes to what appears to be a sensor. The sensor location is mounted under the air intake manifold on the drivers side of the engine, just above the fuel filter. The other side of the 'T' appears to be routed underneath the fuel pump(s)? (see photo "Fuel_Line_2.jpg")
I'm in Portland, Oregon at the moment trying to get home today for Thanksgiving, I have 200 more miles southward to go... I can probably make it there with minor leaking along the way.. but once I'm there parts are far away.
Freightliner is based right here in Portland, but when I called they were of little help even with my VIN# and all that protocol. It's 3pm PST.
Anybody help on this?
