I don't know. I can tell you how they work and that might help.
The front sensors monitor:
The space about 1 meter away
The rear sensors monitor:
the space about 1.8 meters away
In forward gear, the rear sensors are deactivated.
In reverse gear, all sensors are active.
The ParkTronic System control unit carries out a self-test when the ignition is turned to the RUN position. All the LEDs light up, then go dark if there's nothing close enough to trigger a sensor.
... so knowing that, and because I can't resist guessing:
You should be able to trigger each sensor individually, on demand, if you can avoid detecting yourself; maybe fishing pole, some line and a hook with piece of cardboard dangling - or maybe just a wooden dowel with a string taped to it, dangling something that'll be seen by a sensor - so you can verify an individual sensor is working?
If you can find a suitable scan tool like Chrysler's WiTECH or Chrysler's StarMOBILE or MB's Star Diagnosis System (SDS) than you should be able to watch each sensor by looking at the PTS (or whatever MB calls it) electronic control module.
