Help with "Limp mode"

2007, low mileage, no problems for years.
Today at a red light it went into a wiered mode as I accelerated when the light turned green.
Acceleration far too slow, pushing the gas pedal had no effect. After a minute trying to
accelerate things went back to normal but the same problem repeated itself each time
I tried accelerating from a stop. Engine sounds different, has a deeper sound.
I need to work with the van till Tuesday, long weekend & my mechanic is gone.
Any advice will be appreciated.

Josh,
Check the turbo hoses from the turbocharger down to the RH side of the charge air cooler. Then check the turbo hoses from the LH side of the charge air cooler up to the
intake manifold on top of your engine.
Manually palpate them to check for cracks/slits/ leaks of any kind.
Also check the connections at each end of each hose for O-ring leaks.
You may have a leak that is bleeding off all your boost pressure.
Beyond this, not much you can do until you get your Sprinter to someone
with a MB SDS system to run a scan to find any other issues.

Problem solved...
The giant air hose at the top of the engine was totally loose.
A few months ago I had my fuel filter replaced, looks like the mechanic failed to
tighten the hose clamp & it simply separated. I placed the hose back in its spot
& tightened the clamp screw & all was solved.
Many many thanks!
