Re: Air temp sensor

Can anyone locate just the connector for the air temp intake sensor for 2005 Sprinter? Apparently, thats whats bad on mine. They cleaned it and the light was off for 6 months but its back on even though its hardly ever driven. Any ideas? Thanks

Re: Air temp sensor

If you mean the Intake Air Temp sensor (which can trigger the Check Engine light), it's under the hood,
on the driver's side of the engine
plugged into the rubber hose leading between the intercooler (located with the radiator)
and the intake manifold (the aluminum thing on the top of the engine on the driver's side.
The IAT is kind'a "in front of the battery", easily accessible through the open hood.

Here's Vic's posting of the training manual page:

..on the off chance you really want the *Ambient* temp sensor (the one that feeds the display alternating with your clock), that's located behind the front license plate holder.
