Hi,
just bought a maxbrake trailer brake controller.
the unit is nice and it seems easy to install.
the question for the group is the harness
that it comes with has a female connector
for the power positive and negative and to the
trailer. it gets its signal from a pressure switch
to another harness. so does anyone have a
guess about the body harness end and where
it connects. or should i splice it in.
thanks
chris

Are you saying that there is a hydraulic brake pressure switch connection in your new brake controller?
That would be strange, and it's probably not a good idea to in any way compromise the
Sprinter's hydraulic brake system as this would affect the ABS and possiby the ASR traction
control.
Does your Sprinter have the factory installed trailer electrical harness?
That would be the place to start.
If not, perhaps it would be best to install the factory aftermarket OEM electrical harness.
The blue wire in that harness goes to the 7 pin (round) female trailer connector pin for
electric trailer brakes.
The rest of the wires in the OEM or OEM factory aftermarket harness are for the Sprinter to
trailer ground and the tail/clearance lights; brake/turn signal lights.
Hope this helps,
Roger
