Last month some people in Alaska posted on this message board and also on the sprinter westfalia board (

Here's their message from the sprinter westfalia message board.
My wife and I bought our Westy in the San Fransisco area a couple of years ago
and drove it up to Alaska where we live. It has come time to sell because we
need a big truck to haul our new 30' boat. Our Westy has <45,000 miles and is in
great shape. Always professionally maintained and winterized. Everything is in
perfect working order. Aftermarket additions are a spare tire on the back, a
block heater for cold weather starts, and a set of studded snow tires in
addition to the summer tires. We had a blast exploring our home state of Alaska
in both winter and summer and absolutely love everything about it, it's just
time for us to move on and give our baby a new home.
