I guess you don't know Iceland mate!klAUFI,
On a NAFTA (USA/CAN) spec. Sprinter, there's pretty much no way.
That would defeat/raise heck with the ESP traction control.
Why do you wish to have a locked up rear end?
If you are having trouble getting going in ice/snow/mud/sand, shut of the
traction control until you get moving about 5 mph...works pretty well.
Also, what tires do you have on your Sprinter.
Tires can make a huge difference.
Get really good snow/ice rated tires and maybe a set of tire chains and you
will be go to go up to about 12" of snow.

There is a link somewhere with that 44 inch job that runs Dyna lockers."I think"?Got a link for source?
Yes but it's exclusive to Australia they don't export sorry.

The esp is no good here, either it's locked or you're stuck.
The esp is rocking about but it doesn't allow you to rock the van back and forth.
I'm aiming for a 4x4 sprinter on 31-35" tires, depends on if find lockers mostly.
It's actually for my father, he recently sold his 44" Land cruiser 100 series.
And still has his stock Ford Econoline apart from the interior.
The goal is to combine these cars in to one travelling rig, without the need to go where you need 38"+.
Btw, this is a european model.
If i remember correctly, he swapped in some Dana 60 Axles with ARB lockers..There is a link somewhere with that 44 inch job that runs Dyna lockers."I think"?

The ARB lockers are matched to the original manufactures axles.down under the company is fussy as to the OEM axles abilty to handle the lockers..each are custom made.If i remember correctly, he swapped in some Dana 60 Axles with ARB lockers..
I was hoping to find something for the original axle.
