I have found a sprinter 700 miles away.
Its a 2500 long body high top Passenger.
70,000 miles. Is this a lot for the transmission?
Seats 12 has a DVD/TV
Dealer wants 29,997.
I have fell in love with these vans/trucks and just wanted opinions or thoughts of owners Good points and Bad.

I don't know how much it's worth to you, but I've attached the datacard.

I haven't read the documentation on this van, but I did notice it's black. I'd stick with a lighter color if you're living the desert life.

Dodge doesn't have any incomplete recalls on file for this particular van

PS: A couple of people couldn't open the data card as a pdf. I don't know why. Here's a new copy created with a different program.

PPS: 70,000 miles isn't a lot for 2008 Dodge Sprinter transmissions. The service requirement is 60,000 miles. It might have been done. Check with the owner. 10,000 miles overdue is not a big deal. NCV3 NAG1s coupled with our V6s are not failing for forum members like, say, EGR valves.

PPPS: if you like it, buy it. if you don't want to pay that much, offer what it's worth to you. I'd rather have a well-cared for 2007/2008/2009 than a 2010, but that's a personal opinon.

Hi Jon,

FYI, I tried to open your DataCard pdf and most of the text consists of black squares. When Adobe Reader tries to open it, I get a dialog box indicating "Cannot find or create the font 'SansSerif' Some characters may not display property" I created one for mine yesterday and it reads fine. I'm on a new Win7 64 bit system. :idunno:

It opens fine for me, just the user is blacked out. All of the other info is there.

I put another copy up. Nice to know it works for you.

I redacted user ID I use to login to EPC.

Hmmm. I see nothing like "user" on the one I ran for myself yesterday? :idunno:
Cancel that; I see it at the bottom of the page.

$30K for what would be a $45K new van does not seem to far out of line. thats $15K off for 70K miles. options?

To the original question: 70K on a transmission is pretty much irrelevant. Even if they have done no maintanence - change the filter and fluid and go, and particular as a passanger vehicle.

I agree that it sounds rather expensive.

Good luck!

How does one go about making these data cards? Thanks in advance.

How does one go about making these data cards? Thanks in advance.

It'll take me 10 minutes to type up the instructions.

It'll take you 30 seconds to tell me it's not worth $12.00 per year.

Should I invest the 10 minutes?
