I'm going to repaint the white hood and would like to remove the black plastic vent grill up top, but don't seem to understand how it's fastened. Is there a trick to it's removal, like lift in center while pushing in ends type deal ?
I've searched this forum and my owner's/ factory manual and zippo there

Getting the dried out double stick tape off of the hood (after you get the part removed) is time consuming. I had to find some paint to match the hood - my van had been repainted by a Ford dealer, and as such it took 3 or 4 cans of touch up paint to find the 'white' it currently was.

Its worth the effort. The Mercedes grill looks great where it belongs.

Are you revering to the air vent grill on the top of the hood or the trim above the grill in front of the radiator? I have not heard of glue on the air vent grill before.
