Factory Radio, XM ready??

Can someone tell me if the factory am/fm/cd is XM ready? From what I have found you need to pull the radio and hook up some stuff direct, is this correct? If so, how do you remove the radio? Thanks

The only thing that the factory radio is ready for, is the garbage .
You didnt say what year or model radio you have.The sound 5(and the others needs a plug in adapter for the aux in/ Ipod, that plugs into the back of the radio) then you need the dealership to activate the aux function for 2010up radios .The Contact www.beckerautosound.com (USA) or chris.case@midlandstruckvan.com (Europe) for the kit .. heres the latest post on factory radios https://sprinter-source.com/forums/showthread.php?t=12608
