~ Harmonic balancer failure/RSN connection? ~

Have been increasingly wondering about this. Persistent, intermittent RSN torsional vibrations would surely have their effects
.....on the harmonic balancer. Could their be an connection eventually?
Perhaps Andy & others will share their thoughts in this?

Very bad cases of RSN seem to help destroy torque converters, flywheels & crankshafts.

I have not seen one yet that has caused the balancer to fail. But it's possible that it could.

Have a bad case of RSN?

Get Doktor A's RSN fix! It works very well.

Thanks, Wayne. My short shorty did have rather bad RSN initially upon my purchase of her with 77K miles. The problem was diminished by a good amount with the installation of a transmission brace
.....though it still is occurring. Drilling ala Dr. A's solution may be next, though my remaining problem may be essentially eliminated by gently manually shifting the NAG1 transmission, keeping the van in each gear
.....for a few more mph before upshifting & occasionally when downshifting. Never anything harshly done. Still, my sense continues to be that bad, persistent RSN could well be contributing to some harmonic
.....balancers eventually failing.

.....Anyone else's thoughts, please?
