Transmission leak

That plastic plug on the front of trans is just starting to leak. Yes I should have changed it when I did trans fluid at 60,000 forgot. I think it is called (transmission adaptor plug housing) about $12. I am leaving for the winter this is on my rv . Just wondering how fast this could get worse I just noticed the first 2 little drops today. How hard is it to change , what tools will I need , how much fluid will I lose if any when I change it? I have seen this electric plug talked about before but can't find a thing now.

Change it as soon as possible. Leaks never get better and always get worse at the most inopportune time.

It's an easy fix - takes about 1/2 hour from start to finish. If you can raise the right front and park on an incline, it will keep fluid loss to a minimum. I changed mine last month - lost less than 8 oz.

Thank you very much , just what I was looking for. I knew I had seen it before wish I had remember to order that plug. Now I plan on heading south for the winter and it is 10 degrees out.
