Hi everyone,
I'm in market for new 2010 2500 Sprinter. What discount off MSRP should I be able to get in Chicago area? When are the 2011's coming - should I wait?
Thanks for any help.

I'm in TN and looking right now as well. So far the Freightliner dealer is willing to come off of sticker a little more than the MB dealer I'm talking to. Neither amounts to a whole lot of savings over MSRP. The MB dealer came off $1,800.00 on a ~$52,300 van and the closest Freightliner dealer came off around $2500.00 on a similarly priced/equipped van. While both prices are better than paying full MSRP, here in TN that amount of discount doesn't even cover the sales tax on the van.

Here in Washington, you can avoid the local sales tax if you're licensing it (and reside in) a different state.
(Conversely, if you -buy- it in a different state, you're required to pay the Washington sales tax if/when you register it here, unless you did pay the local sales tax in the origninating state).

Same in CA. You can but it in Oregon tax free, but have 30 days to register and pay CA tax.

2011s are starting to appear , so i would wait a few weeks for a 2011 or insist on a discount on a 2010.

2011s do have a heavier tow bar from the factory, if you like that sort of thing.

cars.com is showing a couple 2011s in stock.

Note they are all passenger vans I guess b/c they don't have to go to Ladson to get "assembled" first. Our vin for the passenger we ordered is about 4000 units after the last vin shown. I read the plant produces about 10000 units a month, so I wonder if ours is about to be built/shipped.
