Great forum folks, I appreciate all the contributions. Our 144" 2500 is a passenger van, with aux rear heat. I'd like to make some initial changes and have read all 75 pages of the sub-forum (sorry honey).
Here are the projects I'm contemplating so far. Any comments are appreciated.
1. Install new position for rear platform bed (obtained, just deciding where I can mount framing on side walls)
2. Install "bike tote" bike fork mounts for 5-6 bikes under the bed in cargo area

4. Add interior carpeting, front center console and find some darn armrest cupholders for rear passengers.

A few initial quesitons:
1. I'd like to drill a frame into the rear cargo area walls as high as possible (under the windows) for a platform bed. How high can I go? Looking at photos from those who removed the liners (thanks!) it looks like there is a significant frame just under the rear windows. Any issues with installing just under the windows?
2. The ashtrays are going. Do I add a run to the Aux battery for a bunch of 12v or has someone come up with a better use for them? I'd like to add cupholders, but can only find the small "flip downs". Ideally, a small armrest with a cupholder and bin would be best but can't find such in the aftermarket area.
3. The Jeep center console is no longer available from Amazon. Anyone enjoying an alternative other than the one above?
4. basic question...where to get automotive carpet?
