I have a '07 NCV3 Roadtrek conversion with 36 k miles on it. About a 120 miles ago the check engine light came on. After reading some of the problems people have had with their Sprinters, I did not know what to expect. I took the van to my local MB repair shop; Robert's Automotive (we have a MB dealer and Dodge dealer in Springfield IL, but neither works on Sprinters). After reading the error codes, the mechanic found that a vacuum sensor was faulty. He traced the vacuum line to the sensor and found that battery acid had damaged the hose near the battery. I had the two 6 volt golf cart batteries (used by the RV coach) replaced about 2k miles ago. It seems that some acid got spilled during the removal/install. The mechanic spliced in some new hose, reset the codes and I was good to go for only $131.75!
