Would someone please explain the difference in T1N & NCV3? And how can I determine which mine is?

I have a 2010 RS Adventurous 3500 on a 2009 freightliner chassis with the rear dual wheels. It does not have the steering wheel buttons. It is powered by the Mercedes 3.0 turbo diesel engine.

I would like to know why Mercedes do not provide a transmission dip stick? A does anyone recommend installing a after market one? And if so which one to buy.

Thanks Sunshine in TN

Hi. You have the latter NCV3 Sprinter.

You should be able to download the owner's manual from the Dodge.com
website for free (look under 2008) to reset the ASSYST system:
http://www.dodge.com/en/owners/manuals/index.html

The Transmission dipstick and service manual is available from the dealer. Check a local MB dealer also for pricing.

MB doesn't provide the dipstick because it is only meant for measuring the fluid
(which is dependent on the operating temp) and not to be permanently placed into the fill tube.
Take a look at www.europarts-sd.com which shows it's the same p/n for 2002-10.
If you look on the ebay, sellers will list it as Mercedes 722.6 dipstick also.
There is also a discussion here about making your own vs. the factory tool.
