Compared to a traditional automatic transmission with torque converter, all six gears in the Sprintshift are shifted using a clutch. However, with the Sprintshift, gear change usually done by the hand and the foot is done by an electric motor and a hydraulic pump. In automatic mode, it drives like a conventional automatic transmission.
