Default What is the MPG on your Sprinter?

Ok, you guys can help me with a little research. I know the Sprinter has best-in-class fuel efficiency by far. I have heard that the 2007-2010 diesel Sprinters can get as much as 25 MPG. Dodge advertised 19-21 MPG on the 2500s. What is the average MPG in your Sprinter loaded or empty?

Does anyone own a Chevy Express/GMC Savannah or Ford Econoline? What is your MPG comparison?

Thanks and look forward to seeing the results.

~21.5 on the highway at 67 MPH (GPS speed), I pick up 1-2 MPG if I draft off semis.

I do have a 2003 which gets more MPGs than the 2006 and up it seems.

6 speed manual gearbox with inline 5 cylinders 2.5TDI Crafters engine, axle ratio 3,692 gives me 22-26mpg when I reach 140km/h -150km/h(85-94mph) on the highway droping to 18mpg

i was getting 20.5 ave, then i put 2 cross bars on the roof for ladders, and i dropped to 19.5-19.75 (no ladders on roof) 2008 2500. I bought the van new, and mpg has been consistent from mile 1, there was no improvement after break in miles

I use portlandgasprices.com to keep track of my fuel costs and mpg. In 09 I think I averaged around 22/23.

I can hardly wait to compare it to my 2010 after using WVO & home made biodiesel for a year .

2009 $2100 in fuel. In 2008 I didn't keep track but I bet I spent upwards of $3500 in fuel. The goal in 2010 ..... less than $1000!!!!!

My sprinter van is hardly ever loaded to its capability which is probably why I have the mileage I do.

Our T1N's (2500 wagon 140" wb) get 19-20 mpg running mostly on the interstate at 70 mph. One of our 2006's is at 200k miles and still hasn't had (and doesn't need) its first brake job.

Our 170 NCV3's get 17-18 mpg running mostly on the interstate at 70 mph.

Our 144 NCV3's get 18-19 mpg running mostly on the interstate at 70 mph.

I believe the 170 has poor mileage because of the substantially larger cross-sectional area and the extra 600# of steel on the rump.
