We got a little wet in Washington State this month.
The photographer's at least two degrees of separation from me. I believe that's a white T1N on the left side of the frame, lookin' brave and ready to cross the river. Ok, maybe not. -Jon |

There's another Sprinter rounding the corner in the second picture in Woodinville Washington.... near that same intersection in the first posting. The water bubbling up from the sewer isn't far from where I live in Seattle. The last picture is why they closed I5 near Chehalis - the major route between Seattle and Portland.... That made for a 600 mile detour for truckers to get supplies between the two cities. Note: These are the drama photos. A lot of people are hurting. I left out one showing dead cattle 'cuz your kids might be watching.... I'm fine.... it's not like every citizen of Western Washington is suffering like this, but some of our state residents are really, really hurting from it. -Jon Last edited by jdcaples; 12-10-2007 at 11:25 PM. Thanks for the photos, Jon. I have close relatives in Vancouver and Seattle. They are OK. Somewhat stranded. Some more than others. Glad you're all right.

my shop is located at exit 68 on I-5 in washington 10 miles south of chehalis. luckily i'm on a plateau above the chehalis river bed so i was fine. i did get caught on I-5 at the flood aprx 1000 ft from those flooded fedex sprinters as they were closing I-5 northbound but i was (barely) able to get around it through side streets as waters were rising. at one point i came over a rise towards centralia (chehalis and centralia are sister cities) and saw only rooftops above water! 5 days after the flood i saw the fedex sprinters being towed to the salvage pool in grahm washington for auction. its raining heavily here the past few days and this moring the waters were rising near the freeway again. i'm heading for tucson today in my 07 ext sprinter cargo to pick up motorcycles and gift my healthy energy / anti aging drink to the masses!

I'm glad you're safe. Thanks for the auction alert. I hope those drenched Sprinters don't end up being sold after auction w/o disclosure. -Jon |

Hey, I live in Bothell, WA. That's just up the hill from Woodinville. I have a Liesure Travel Free Spirit motorhome (2004 Freightliner Sprinter). Just had a leaky roof, nothing serious.

No and no. My leaky roof was on my house during the storm, not in my LT van. And my email is cheesey is because I like a band called "String Cheese Incident"!
